You might also check
http://www.maxxair.com/products/MaxxFan.aspx . It has the effect of a
rain shield without an additional cover. If I need to replace a fan in
the future, I may try it out.

Thats a pretty touchy subject them CFMs
I would imagine the fantastic and the maxx air are much better at
moving air than the koala-matic (Hows that for spell checking)
I would think about upgrading any way I would look at the maxxair with
hand held remote apperently the wall switch models are diffenet and
only available to manufactureres besides the work of installing in an
already built coach
I will see if there is any cost saving in purchasing a bunch
Just be aware that the maxxair has a 23 inch footprint on the roof you
may have to trim the deck plates

yes ihave never seen aroof vent that is not based on14x14 although
there may be some somewhere

Hi Ernie,
I just had the same experience with my Kool-O-Matic fan.
I found an almost perfect replacement motor at surpluscenter.com.
I say almost perfect because the body of the new motor is about 1/8th"
smaller in diameter than the original so I had to shim it on 3 sides
(to keep it centered). I think I paid $ 14.00 + s&h.

As far as we can tell it works fine. I called Kool-O-Matic right after
mine failed and I was able to get through but the replacement motor
was $119.00 + S&H.
