A response to Bruce's post
Hey Bruce,

The companion of true vision will always be a righteous stubborness, otherwise
all of us
followers (poor guys with big busses in their yards) would give up too easily.
You clearly
(pardon the pun) have thought through your vision. It is not as easy to forsee
who and
how you would offend, but I'm sure you would want to relive some of your
decision
making--we all would. It is disheartening to think of what you are going
through in
getting your site off the ground. Sometimes a muddy puddle will only clear if
left alone.
Your site is clearly a step up from the previous site as per getting the
information I need,
though it is not as gossipy and chatty as the other site; I like the casual
mixing of the
mundane and mechanical on the old site. Your site has some great dynamic
capabilities
that the old site will never be able to achieve, sheerly because your site is a
dedicated
website. It will be interesting to see how your site grows and evolves (a small
plea to not
give up). Having done work over the web, and knowing the limited numbers of
bluebird
owners, I am pretty sure you will only ever be at the break even point--even
before you
include the cost of your time--so I don't completely understand the rancor on
that front,
though I admit I am speaking from a limited knowledge of all that is going on.

The bottom line is that in any disagreement almost everybody who has a gripe
does
"legitimately" feel that way. They may not be in the technical right, but
that's pretty much
beside the point. I feel a bit weird posting on either site while there is this
cloud of
unknowing in the air. I'd like to proclaim that I really don't care, but for
some reason I do.
I bought and take care of my bus on a teacher's salary with a few folksinging
gigs thrown
in. We've got six little kids who go everywhere with us--surely not to $500.00
rallies--but
we are committed to keeping our 78 FC 31 in as good as shape as we can afford,
and we
travel all over in it; it is almost like a part of our family. Providing your
forum is worth
money to us; the same is true of the other forum. They both provide us access
to an
incredibly warm and giving group of like minded people. As my experience with
Bluebirds
grows I hope I will be able to give as much advice as I receive. Before then,
I am
extremely grateful for everything .

I'm sorry, I posted a response to a post from Bruce on his forum. I will
include his post
here, if you want to print it. I should have posted it as a different subject
on this forum.

If the post is relevant, perhaps sharing that post here would shed some light
on the original post of which you sent to this forum. Your original "response
to Bruce's post" has folks wondering what you were talking about. A little
clarity would be appreciated. Ernie Ekberg, Wanderlodgeforum Owner

A response to Bruce's post
Bob,

Why would i want to print it?

I don't have any idea of the tone of your response,
though it feels somewhat dismissive. I think you'll
agree it could be read in a couple of different ways.
Bruce had a post on his forum which seemed very
relevant to both forums. That is "why" I asked if you
wanted to print it. I wasn't taking sides in any
issue, but I at least spent some time writing a
thoughtful response. I meant to include Bruce's text
in the post, but forgot to when I posted. I am not
endorsing one site over the other but I do feel that
the smug and self-satisfied response to anyone with a
sincere--and maybe even ignorant--question is becoming
the norm. If it is all in fun then we need to
become better writers so that the meaning of our
messages are not obscured. I hope we will never judge
each other because of a post on a message board. I
feel like ihave been judged simply because I wrote
about Bruce.
