camera problems
hello group. I too am having problems. My backup camera is operating
intermitently... which means it won't work when I need it! I have
eliminated the camera and monitor as the problem. A while back I
thought I read a discusion about a relay or sum such in the overhead
between the switch and the monitor.. can anybody recall or steer me in
the right direction? Thanks! Rob Sargent 85pt36.

Rob if ultimately you need a new system then I recommend you contact Tim at
rvcams.com He has great prices, service and has supplied several of us with
colour systems. You can even use your existing coax if you can live without
sound.

Bob

I have the same coach as you. Mine does have a small relay in the
front overhead. Mine is over the top of the CB radio. Is
mine "factory"? I don't know There is a backup camera trigger lead in
that overhead load center. It's activated by turning on the ignition.
That lead operated the relay I mentioned . If you need guidence let me
know.
I've hand traced the wiring for the backup camera.

I'm thinking about replacing our setup with a color camera and color LCD. I
find the low contrast B&W image to be almost useless much of the time. Anyone
have experience doing that and recommendations on cameras and LCDs?

Thanks!

Greg,
You will get a lot of good input on this topic.

I'll forward the notes that I made when upgrading our camera system.
