I know you can use a plastic hose to keep the gas tank when filling
up with fuel from backing up and splashing you?

I was just wondering as if you ever lost that hose in your tank you
would be in a world of hurt.

Oh yes I notice that the my 78 when I tried to fill it up at the high
speed pumps it just won't accept the fuel and there again it backs up
and oops all over you!

My friends David Beatty motor home doesn't do this and I guess its
just the design of the tank and the fill pipe.

You would have thought that the Blue Bird corporation would have made
a special fill pipe in the first place so you wouldn't haft to fiddle
around with a plastic hose dropped into the tank to keep it from
burping back on you.

While were on the Blue bird agenda have any of you removed any of the
cabinets up front? Boy you talk about a hash job of fitting the back
of these cabinets over the front tire wheel well. When I removed
mine it looked like some kid out of the fourth grade cut the curve
fit as it just looked like dog poop!!! Steve Anderson has noticed
this also in his coach also. Million dollar coaches when it comes to
looks but get behind that look and see what kind of ship shod work
some of there installers did back in the 70's.

Oh well I wonder if that goes on today????

Got an estimate on installing higher gears in rear end and it looks
like it will be around 2000 dollars (4.88) (Now how do I get the
money out of the bank without my wife finding out?).

Hay you guys have a great day and its just a wonderfull rainy day up
here in Washington.

Hey, I have a question here about the fuel tanks. I have a 1995 WL Wide body
with 300 gallon capacity. The first time I fueled up, I got a backup bath. The
next time I filled up, since there are Fuel Inlets on both sides I opened them
both up and never got a back up. Was that coincidence or are those two inlets
going into the same 300 gallon tank.

I have owned this bird only since about July and really don't know whether there
are two seperate tanks or just one with two inlets.

Anyone out there have an answer. Would appreciate it.

Ron my 94 fills from either side into the same tank. I have thought of using
the opposite fill as a vent but haven't tried it yet. I put the nozzle on
lowest setting and walk away until it clicks off. It usually spits back but
I make sure I'm not there to receive. After that I slowly fill and watch the
foam as it regurgitates back up the fill nozzle, back off, fill some more
and so on. If there is no one behind me I can fill her right up to the top
of the fill tube.

Rob,
Thanks for the response. I ran my pump full blast witht the opposite fuel cap
off and no back up. You might try that next time you fill up.

"FILL UP" What a laugh. 500 bucks only gets you a half tank at best. You know
they are still forecasting $200.00 a barrell for crude oil. That will double
our cost at least. What a miserble future we are looking at.

Don't dispare Ron. I look at this way. Everything we eat, wear or use comes
by truck and when they start parking those babies is when I'll start
worrying. Keep in mind there is enough oil up here in the tar sands for
North America for 100 years at present usage rate. Long enough for our
rving.

Rob,
I am trying to keep a positive outlook, but its tough what with inflation here
in the states. Have you seen what the dollar is doing against other currencies
right now. Don't look good. Of course our federal reserve is cranking up the
printing presses to keep up. Yukkk.

I am outta here for now. Have a good Sunday and keep the faith.

There was a time when a Canadian dollar fetched a lowly 61 cents US.
It will change again just takes a little time.

Steve I believe previous Liberal gov't had a lot to do with the 61 cent
dollar. I don't think you'll ever see that again.

Him 200 dollars a barrel? Well its looks like I'm going to have a
beautiful motor home out in my front yard! I guess I can always turn
in it to a big chicken coup!

Well no need to worry as long as I have good health all the rest of
the stuff of life can just rot away.

I just wonder when the housing market is really going to take a
real dive? Lets get real about housing cost at 200,000 dollars for a
starter home and a Walmart paycheck sounds like we are in deep poop.

Us Government borrows so much money to make up for the tax cuts that is what
makes the US dollar so weak.
It is not that the Cd.dollar is strong.

Steve I believe previous Liberal gov't had a lot to do with the 61 cent
dollar. I don't think you'll ever see that again.
