Needed: Generator model number for '82 Wanderlodge
Hello, all. I am in a bit of a bind and the model number of the
generator used in the 1982 35' Blue Bird Wanderlodge with the CAT 3208NA. Our generator is damaged and we need the model number to find the part today since we are supposed to leave TONIGHT on a long trip. Please post if you have this info. Thanks very much in for your help. dg |

dg,
Is it the generator portion that is needing parts - or the genset engine? Which part are you needing? *If* your genset engine is the Perkins diesel, and that's what you need parts for, go to the Links section of the forum (http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Wand...orum/links) and then go to the Perkins Repair and Maintenance Manual to find how to find the model number and serial for your particular engine. Copy all the numbers you find on your engine and take them with you to the parts house. If it's the generator portion itself, that information should be in your Blue Box of information or on a tag on the generator itself. Kohler? I'm not up to date on FC of that vintage. This is helpful. The part needed is the internal water pump housed inside of the
engine casing behind the top of the three pulleys on the outside of the engine. We have a coolant leak there. We don't know exactly what is wrong until we remove the casing, but we're trying to track down the water pump part number as a start. I'll start with the Perkins book. Thanks. dg ----- Original Message ---- From: mbulriss <mbulriss@...> To: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com Sent: Monday, October 8, 2007 2:33:55 PM Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] Re: Needed: Generator model number for '82 Wanderlodge dg, Is it the generator portion that is needing parts - or the genset engine?
