Air Suspension Will Not Inflate

Could be that the thirty degree mark is a clue. Frozen moisture in the air
valve?

This morning I had an appointment to have my coach worked on.
Temperature here this AM was 30 degrees. Coach started fine--up came
the air pressure so I hit the "UP" button on the dash and nothing
happened. This is a first! Traced the air lines on the diagram and
the air throttle shares the air source directly with the air supply for
the front and rear air rear bags. Air throttle works fine. Checked
the dash switch and it is operating and has 12V. Since the front and
rar air bags have separate lines what is the chance they are both
frozen? Water in the coach is not frozen. I am scratching my head
here so can anyone help? Coach does not have automatic leveling. By
the way it is 45 degrees at 10:41AM.

Juergen I guess we have a triangle of SP's in this area. 89 90 & 91
Butler Beaver & Pittsburgh & I haven't done anything about my air bags
yet.

I had that happen to me once. Took several tries with suspension dump
switch. I got it finally up enough to get to the BB place on Route 8 in Mars,
and
they fond the front leveling valve was about shot with dirt and corrosion.
Where about in the Burgh do you live? I live in Beaver PA

Thanks Bob That's good to know on the air valve in the front I'll check
that out on mine to see if that is the way it works. Mine are Clippard
valves. There is a place I can get them in Pittsburgh.

We do indeed have a triangle as I actually live in Bethel Park which
is 10 miles south of Pittsburgh. My coach can often be found at
Beaverun race course in Beaver (of course) as we race both cars and
karts (grandchildren)k
The suspension finally came up. I called Glen Rogers and he advised,
after it was warm enough to discount the frozen air line, to check
the "Allen Air Valve" in the front under the windshield. #4 is the
valve that controls the suspension dump and, contrary to what you
might expect, the application of air is what keeps the coach down??
In order to let it come up the little yellow Allen air valve must
expel air and -- up it comes. Glen said they had been replacing them
frequently lately. I just wiggled the lines and mine expelled air
and presto, up it came.
Thanks to Glen I am on the road again. I sure do miss Benny though.
What a waste of knowledge.

That's what I was wandering too without getting into extras how much the
basic's changed from one year to the next. I know on the ext. mine still has the
black rubber around the wheel wells & it doesn't have the same front end as
yours. I'm going to air mine up tomorrow & see which Clippard valve in the
front activates my suspension dump. You can get those valves in Pittsburgh if
you ever need any. Have you gone underground with yours yet?

Hi Don
No I have not. My coach is in Vollmers repairshop undergoing an analysis of why
the coach settles slowly to the left front. It takes about a day to go from
normal level to left front low. We cannot locate any leaks yet, but there must
be one somewhere, since the auxilarry air compressor comes on every 4-5 hours
for about 5 minutes. I kind of suspect the airbags itself having a slow leak.
GENERAL QUESTION...
has anyone ever removed an airbag and if so, is it a large complicated
procedure or a PITA type.
I figured that if the airbag has a leak somewhere, air bubbles should show the
hole. Any suggestions/ advice would be greatly appreciated.
