Hot water heater
Hi Elmer,

I replaced my faulty water heater a few years ago with a near direct
replacement from Seaward Products, _http://www.seawardproducts.com/waterhtr.htm_
(http://www.seawardproducts.com/waterhtr.htm) .

I believe it was a 11 gallon unit, and it too had the motor aid feature.
Replacement was pretty easy, but took me a day or so. It was my first "big"
project with my then "new to me" BB, and I learned a lot about the quality and
workmanship of BB's. The plumbing almost hooked up like the unit I took out,
but the slight mismatch was taken care of by using those neat and flexible
stainless steel braided hoses available at all Home Depot or Lowes plumbing
depts.

I believe the unit cost me a little over $300, and I picked it up at the
factory in nearby Whittier. They do ship, and they do sell direct.

Knock on wood, but the water heater is still working, even after my install
!!

Good luck..

It should take less than 30 minutes. When I'm out dry camping, and the
girls need that once-a-day shower, I run the gen set for 30 minutes, and that
seems sufficient to give 'em plenty of hot water (the water is already pretty
warm from the day before).
