Hurricane Safe Haven
Leroy,
I did 27 years in Fla. as a kid. I remeber Donna, Cleo, and all the near misses, oh lets not forget the stupidity of Hurricain Parties! I've been a refuge in Tenn since '86 don't miss Fla at all. Gone back a few times to help freinds and family clean up. If you don't get out of the way you'll get hurt, their choice. Two family members left in Fla.one in St. Pete and one in Destin both less than 2 blocks from the water. My sisters house is the first house out of the flood plain, she feels safe ?????????????? There's your sign!!!!And like allways we'll go help fix the mess in the aftermath. I rode out Opal, Ivan, and Katrina. My Destin hanger handled all of them but was not much fun. In my early life I rode out Donna. And since several others that I cannot remember the names. I am finished with that business.. It is a primary reason I left Destin FL. > God Bless you good folks. Hurricane Safe Haven
Thanks for the update Bob. Glad you decided to head to safer ground.
I wonder where our other Gulf coast members are? We finally got our son near Shreveport to take it serious and get ready also. Let us know how many are at the Birds Nest.
