Ernie,

Your the pro here. Which system do like best, I see that Warm Floors
has a dedicated RV product. If it was your coach what would you put
in it.

Heated floors
Kurt (and others)

I recently installed the "Warm Tiles" with the FTS-1 Time of Day
thermostat. They are wired through my inverter and use only about 12
amps DC when they energize (about as much as a 120 watt bulb). Of
course when I'm parked at a campground or at home, they run off the
shorepower. It is amazing how warm the floor will get- I usually have
the thermostat set for 85 degrees from 5AM to 10AM and then scale it
back to 70 during the day. It will ramp back up to 85 from 8 to 10 PM
and then power back overnight. 85 is a little warm for some, but I
like a nice toasty floor in the morning.

You have to remove the existing tile or laminate floor and get back
down to the plywood subfloor. Then you attach the heat tape in a
serpentine grid fashion, encapsulate it in a concrete/thinset base and
once that dries- you're ready to lay tile. It will add about 1/4 to
3/8 inch to the existing floor- much the same as a carpet pad.

Ernie,
Checked with Thermosoft and warmfloor...thermosoft needs a GFI
circuit, which I don't have and warmfloor is waterfilled (which
doesn't work for me either).
Will probably have to forgo the heated floors and just have you put
in wood floors....bummer...

Forget I said Warmfloor is waterfilled. After getting further into
the site, found the rv portion. Will have to look at it further.

Ralph mentioned an outlet in the refer compartment that may be GFI. Don't despair, we'll figure it out.

The "warm tiles" system has a thermostat with a built-in GFCI. All you
need to supply is a clean 110V AC source w/ground. I pulled power from
the outlet for the TV in my bedroom closet and located the GFCI
thermostat in the old 12V outlet opening in the bathroom.
