ATTENTION ALL PT-42 OWNERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kurt,

Thanks for the offer of the CD. My mailing address is:

R.O. Thompson
2903 Orange St.
Waller, Texas, 77484

I thank you very much for making this offer. I have been having nightmares trying to figure out everything in this 1995 WLWB 42 footer. You have saved my life.

Thanks again for your help.

I tried to upload these files to the web today without any luck. Most

of my software was lost in the last computer crash. The computer

balked at changing them to JPEGS and every online hosting service I

tried, Photbucket and Picasa, wouldn't recognize the TIFF format.

Google DOCs wouldn't take them in PDF too large. I'll get them up in

a week or so once the new software arrives.

I have burnt enough CD's and DVD's for anyone who wants one. I have

three confirmed on W.O.G and four on the W. Forum. I have a few

addresses so far. If you want one e-mail me at "kguns%40hughes.net" or

post it on the net. The DVD's have extra files from my collection of

services and records for associated Bird stuff. The Blueprints are

PDF's and TIFF files.

ATTENTION ALL PT-42 OWNERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thursday 9:56 pm 9-25-08

Blueprint & Schematics update.

Lots of response for these files. I'm having fun with it.

THERE IS A PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know there are more than 15- PT-42's out there.

The first 15 will go in the mail Friday am..

I have 10 more bagged and waiting for your address!!!!!!!!

E-mail it to me at kgun@... Your name and address will not be
used for anything else.

I almost forgot the CD also includes the 97 & 98 Coach Owners Manuals
so come on you other owners.

One other issue, I asked for your choice in CD or DVD well because
most every DVD in a computer will read a CD they all got put on CD's.
If this is a major crisis for you I'll get it on a DVD, but you'll
have to wait longer for it. All disks are full content. A little
editing and removal of some of the double scans and the photo album
got the disks down to a manageable 637 MB, 2417 Flies, 191 Folders.
Yeah baby these disks are ripe.

Kurt,

If you have an extra set, I sure would like a copy. Who knows, some
of it may apply to an LXi. As it stands now, I have nothing in terms of
electrical schematics for my coach... sigh

ATTENTION ALL PT-42 OWNERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I sent out 23 disks today. I have burnt 50 disks. Who Wants one?

In my zeal to get this done I neglected to index the files. When you
open the disk you will see lots of PDF's and TIFF files. I have
compiled an index that will direct you to what your searching for. I
didn't realize it until after I mailed the disks and was looking at
some files did I realize that you have to open each file and look at
the legend to tell what the heck you've opened. A poor way to search
at best. This index is not perfect but it will facilitate your search
of the files. The Index is pasted below.

BAD SCANS are incomplete scans that are viewable, an edge or a side
wasn't scanned. There will be several duplicates. Some are duplicates
some are revisions or updates. One important revision is the one
addressing the Jake Brake / Engine Brake Modification. Look at scan
501, 502 , there may be another but it's eluding me at the moment.

I have had many offers to help deter the cost of this project. A few
are exempt from any obligation due to their help, donation and
participation in this project, specifically Wallace and Bruce. I have
forwarded a disk to all three web sites and will send a few out to
our BIRD GURU'S. I have one offer to host this inf. free of charge,
available to all who have an interest, we'll see how this progresses
and another forum member with a complete set of diagrams that when
time allows will cross check these diagrams against his to fill in
any gaps. If you are compelled to help with the cost of this project
I would appreciate it. I have over 60 hours and $'S in it and this
entire week was devoted to it. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!!!!!

ATTENTION ALL PT-42 OWNERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
'Just wondering, I just bought a Blue Bird and was under the
impression that all of the repair info that was available was in the
blue box (which, in mine is just some manuals and a few fuse box
schematics), and, of course, a fantastic pair of forums with extremely
friendly and helpful members. But now I'm seeing this full set of
service lit available for one particular model, and I'm wondering what
the chances are of this possibly being available for some of the other
models as well?

ATTENTION ALL PT-42 OWNERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fred,

In a perfect world the manufacture would have this information
readily and easily assessable to their clientele. BB is out of the
private coach market and CCW is now the Mfg. They are doing a great
job in maintaining a good relationship with past owners and clients.
Most notably the front end recall on the 450 series coaches. It
wasn't their mistake but they have stepped up to the plate and are
fixing the problem. That is a sign of a company looking towards the
future. In the case of these coach owners it will build goodwill.
Unfortunately I don't think anyone is going to digitize all the
blueprints from the past 40 years. If it were in their interest this
would have already been done, I'm sure they have more pressing
business to attend to. So it falls upon our shoulders.

All models of Bluebird have the same or similar systems and equipment.
Most of the differences come into play on interior layout and how
they made it all fit together. The most important documents you can
lay hands on would be a set of blue prints from Bluebird for your
specific coach. The second best would be prints for your model coach.
Most of the equipment inf. on your coach can be found at that
particular Mfg.'s web site, that will fill in those gaps. It will
take someone who wants to jump through the hoops. The first step is
to ask online if anyone has a set of blueprints. If you find them
they'll have to get them scanned at Fed-ex Kinkos or the like and put
on a disk, If you do it yourself they only charge for burning the
disk, if they scan them it could cost 200 to 300 $'s. Then you can
disseminate that inf. to those who want it. Another alternative is to
request them from Bluebird. If they have them they will sell them to
you. In our case I asked for a set of blueprints and they were
unavailable. They were lost destroyed I can't remember the specifics
but I couldn't get them from the Mfg. So I suggest that you ask
online for someone with the prints for the model your interested in.
If we get lucky and enough people get involved between the three web
sites WF,WOG,WOO we could document all models for future reference.
Now that would be special.
