Hi Richard,
Welcome to the forum. Jay Darst and I have both had engine work done by Coile's Diesel in Saybrook, IL. They were terrific and pricing was extremely fair. They are very familiar with the screamin' Jimmys and should be able to handle any engine issues for you. It'll probably be tough to find one shop that is thoroughly qualified to look at all facets of your coach- but try {http://www.funroads.com/coachcare/normal/} They should have the staff on-hand to look at the genny, jacks, suspension and drivetrain. We have a branch of the Coach Care network locally and they have always treated me fairly. Still having trouble with air lights on front of coach, ground bar
I found in front driver side under steering column, thousand wire are coming an going here, how about the grounding bar in the generator side above the cooling fan, is their a wire to the lights ? Have some drawning to this 1989 WB, Body #f82081,40',tag, Silver Ed. This coach set four five years, would love to get it traveling again. --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, Leroy Eckert > > I do not know if you have drawings or what group of problems you are having.. It is extremely important that the coach have total ground integrity. Some easy things to check and clean are as follows as located on my coach. Yours should be similar. > Main battery ground-It is a gang ground located at the rear curb side attached to the jumper start bar. It runs street to curb near the rear bumper below the bulk oil fill switch. Take it apart clean all connections, use electrical grease and reassemble. > Secondary ground-On the curb side about half way up the engine bay front wall above the batteries is another ground to the frame. Disassemble it, clean and reassemble. > Engine to frame ground-Clean it up > There should be one for the tranny also. Do the same. If necessary you can run additional ground straps from the engine and tranny to the frame. > In the front lower load center where all the relays are located you should find a ground bus bar 6"-8" long and a couple inches wide.and 4? fuse centers along with about 40 relays. Check out the integrity of the ground connections there. There may be a gang location at this ground bus bar for several smaller 16 gauge wires. > I have never had any problems with my lights but some folks have. It may be necessary to use relays to make them work properly. It is also possible there is corrosion in one or more or the cannon plugs out front forward of the driver. Unscrew them and check for a burned pin or corrosion. > Always disconnect grounds first and install them last. All of this assumes your coach is similar to mine. > Leroy Eckert > 1990 WB-40 Smoke N Mirrors > Dahlonega, GA > Royale Conversion > > > --- On Thu, 11/6/08, dctrcarter > From: dctrcarter > Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] Re: 1989 Silver ED. > To: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com > Date: Thursday, November 6, 2008, 10:31 PM > > > > > > > > > > --- In WanderlodgeForum@ yahoogroups. com, Leroy Eckert > > > > > > > > I don't personally know of a place in IL familiar with BB's. There > > is the BB factory in Fort Valley, GA and Coachcraft by MacDonald in > > Columbus, GA.. AIR LIGHTS?? are you refering to the driving lights that drop down or
the lights that are associated with the low air pressure or the lights associated with the air suspension system?
