Now THAT I can appreciate! Mike is right....eggs under the throttle and
down hill will get you 8...
You will really notice the difference when you keep the rig under or just
at 55 mph.....65 or better
produces this great big sucking sound that comes from both your tank and
wallet....

Mark, I'll send you by separate post the spec's for the cameras and LCD to
do a worthy conversion....Any
camera can be converted into wireless and I'd put the better on the
trailer, with a less expensive hard wired
camera on the coach. You can either change the view by manually switching
cameras or go to a split view
screen that will show both at the same time...

Your thoughts on rigs and mileage are similar to mine....If you ask how
much it costs, you can't afford it...

The ranch is starting to take up a lot of our time as the grass just plain
refuses to stop growing, add on top
of that the river ranch property that we logged and are milling lumber
right now. Picture some solid oak door
posts for the new house that measure 8" X 8" and a ridge beam timber
that's 24" X 10" X 40' doug fir...


And then there's Jake, who
is still pretty much confined and has to be walked on a regular basis as
his hip and leg heals...he limps a great
deal and is slow in recovering. And then Lynn is busy with the new house,
buying kitchen stuff, furnishings,
add infinitum........

It's down right fun to churn up the new place skidding logs with the
dozer.....grown ups in a large sandbox...

I tried a backup camera on the back of my 27' enclosed trailer, was
pretty handy. I still used the side mirrors to back it, but the camera
was an excellent cross-check.

A long ways. In fact, a complete drain and replacement of
diff/axle lube requires that the axle be tilted to allow oil to
flow into each wheel bearing. IOW's there's a pool of oil
in each wheel bearing that's completely sufficient for wheel
bearing lubrication.

I thought the tilt was during draining to get oil away from each hub
and use gravity to overcome the molecular attraction that holds oil to
the level housing.

Greg: If you have a rear end failure, removing the drive shaft will do
no good as the axles will still turn the ring & pinion and any broken
parts will still be grinding up inside the rear end. As to tilting the
rear axle side to side after a drain or work on wheel bearings I have
been told that is to get oil to the bearings so they will not be dry
for the first few miles after the work.
