Marabito's Coach
Hi all:
A month has passed and finally today the insurance company called and authorized the shop to see if the engine will run. If it will, then they will proceed with other repairs. I guess they figure if the engine won't run, they might have to total the coach. At least that is what I surmise from the decision. This engine doesn't have but a few thousand miles since a total rebuild. That would be such a loss. I'll post more when I know the outcome. R.E. (Ron) Marabito, Dallas, TX 92WB40 |

Ron,
That's absolutely ridiculous to keep you waiting a friggin' month just to authorize an inspection!! I hope you do get things sorted out faster than what's currently been occurring. It would be a shame to total your coach. --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, Ernie Ekberg > > Its the pits keeping you in the dark for so long, Ron > > > Ernie Ekberg > 83PT40 > Wanderlodge > Weatherford, Tx 817-475-3991 > http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/erni...gandrepair > > --- On Wed, 7/22/09, ronmarabito2002 > > > From: ronmarabito2002 > Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] Marabito's Coach > To: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com > Date: Wednesday, July 22, 2009, 4:16 PM > > > > > > > Hi all: > > A month has passed and finally today the insurance company called and authorized the shop to see if the engine will run. The engine ran today and it appears all the instrumentation looked good.

I wonder why they would want to total the coach with a blown engine.
I would think it would cost them more to pay you for a total than to rebuild the engine. Bob Lawrence 84 PT36 Ft. That's really good to hear. Especially the instrumentation working. That will
save a bunch in headaches trying to get it squared away. Have no idea Bob, but nothing I have witnessed with this insurance company has
made any sense so far. R.E. Talked to the insurance guy today late. He said next they want to check the
generator and should advance by Wednesday. Mechanic at the shop said they had been cleared to proceed with parts order and he didn't think the generator was going to be a hold-up. Not sure they are on the same page. If turned loose, the mechanic said he might have the work complete by the middle of the following week. That sure would be nice. R.E.
