Coach remodeling
Hi everyone. We want to do some remodeling in our Salon. Does anyone
have any experience with Coachcraft by MacDonald? We're not getting
return phone calls or e-mails. If this is the way they do business,
they won't be ready for us when we get there (and we're full time in
our coach, don't want to spend weeks in a hotel while waiting for work
to be finished.) Please e-mail us off line at:

jimpen at Hughes dot net.

Thanks in advance

Your e-mail always comes back refused for some reason. Are you in BFE?
Coach Craft did fabulous work for me in the allotted time frame. Their shop is
very adequate and I believe the personnel there are well trained.

Are you using their posting address (Direcway) or the one in the body (Hughes)?
Direcway e-mail addresses don't exist anymore, so are always refused.

First the positive. We had them upgrade our TV and camera system in
2003. The quality of their work is excellent. They are very
accomadating, hospitable, and easy to get along with.

Now the negative. They enticed us to come in for an estimate but would
not give us one. They are VERY EXPENSIVE and they are VERY SLOW. They
are also very busy and that probably accounts for the negatives. Good
luck.

Pen & Jim,

We had our Dinette and Couch in our 87FC35 remodeled a few months ago by:

Dave is a fellow Bird owner and an excellent craftsman. I would
highly recommend him.

Coach remodeling
I have dealt with Coachcraft by MacDonald and will provide my too
cents. Yes they are very busy and very slow. I guess that comes
when you offer outstanding worksmanship. I did not find that they
were any more expensive than any other Bus Repair service. But if
they are look at their yard. It is full of RVs and Buses for a
reason. It's not the expense but the quality of the product. When
a business is good at what they do, then the people who use that
business are willing to pay a premium for the work. I do agree on
the slowness of the pace of work but I would rather know the job was
completed right the first time than rush them to complete. Only to
find out they cut corners. Let's face it, how many times have you
started on a project on your bird only to have it snow-ball into
other areas that needed attention to fix your project. These
machines are not cookie cutter type vehicles.
To sum it up, I am happy with the work they performed on my
bird. I will make the drive from South Louisiana to them for work on
by bird anytime. Just wish I was close to Coachcraft by MacDonald
because I would be a frequent customer of them. Want to change out
one of my sofas in the next year or two and it will be handled by
Coachcraft by MacDonald.

I have used each one that was posted by the author. Each time I received a
reject of some form. Over allotment, refused, or something else. I'm not
chasing down reject notices.

As new flooring has jumped up a bit higher on my "to do" list, what is the process of getting an estimate, etc.?  We THINK we may have the water problem fixed now (please, please, please!).  Hopefully after we get the Bird House road safety ready, there will be some money for the interior.  (Sell, houses, sell!)
Thanks.
