1973 FC33 391 for sale
Hey guys,
I posted this in the classifieds, I think. I must sell our Bluebird and get some
money. It will probably go fairly cheap since I need the money now. You could
restore this one or use it for parts, your choice. It is located in Central
Texas. We mainly used it for weekend or short trips, nothing over 300-400 miles

1973 FC33 with a 391 gas and auto trans and has 95000+ miles. It is currently
titled and registered with Texas inspection sticker, and clear title. Everything
on the bus works, but it will need tires and a motor to be road worthy. The
tires are old and dry rotted, but possibly good to relocate it a short distance.
The motor burns oil and runs hot during the summer. I pulled the radiator and
had it cleaned, replaced water pump, and flushed the system, it still ran hot.
Someone said it could be getting to much gas, timing wrong, etc. so it had a
major tuneup with carb rebuild, new plugs and wires, distributor reworked, etc.,
and it still ran hot. I don't know why it runs hot, but add in the oil burning,
high miles, and I just figured it would need a motor.

The exterior is fairly good, some paint peeling in places. I call it a 10 from
10, yards. Upon closer inspection, the paint does show some dulling and
chipping. Body is straight and no wrecks.

The interior is excellent shape, one small hole in a front cushion, thank you
Mr. Squirrel. It has twin beds in the back, with the dining table breaking down
to a bed, and the two front side seats/benches, or whatever they are called, so
I say it sleeps 5 people.

Other than that, it is a typical Bird with similar 1973 options.

Thanks for the forum and hopefully someone can use this 73 Bird.

Glenn

Thanks for the info Ernie. There is some paperwork in the bus with it showing it
being sent back to the factory for some upgrades and I knew the front was part
of it. I would have to look for the papers get the info and dates.
