Plain and simple it was a court order public auction to liquidat the assets of a company that screwed up. I do feel as though in your post your somehow blaming the guys who are coach owners that went as being somehow responsible for the demise of whatever it is were guilty of. Coachworks was the entity that went bankrupt. Can you say CCW and Friends????? What does it matter anyways? No one will ever do what The Luce family and the people of Bluebird Wanderlodge did again in their haydays, 2 finished coaches a week?????!!!!!???? I won't live to see that again. Don't blame me. I went there and tried to do what I could. Somebody had more money than I was willing to spend to save what I couldn't. I will reitterate it was an auction not a sale. if you have so much to rag about call Ann Landers or go back to making useless
shoes
there were only 10 Wanderlodge owners in attendance at the sale and believe me
we did not spend that much money
there were however 200 registered bidders and for the most part they spent their
money wisely Parliament bought the paper for the vendor list and customer list
the building owner bought the large fixtures inside the building cranes, paint
booths
scrap dealers bought most all the steel, aluminum fixtures and raw product
a truck dealer bought the hi horsepower motors
I already sold all that I bought BEFORE Rats and I dont think there will be that
much there

To say that Wanderlodge Owners Group members influenced the sale is a load of
crap and a good many members here also belong to that group
Are you going to paint all the members with that same brush
You would be foolish to do so. You attack anyone who does not think the way you
do and by the way do you buy your work equipment at auction? You talk a good
story but that's all it is talk

yea the Luce family business types are a thing of the past. Bankruptcy is
acceptable business now a day. I bet Wanderlodge/ccw was structured for a exit.
I was way surprised that ccw bought it in the first place. I kind of thought
they wanted the facilities to do the conversions they do in Riverside. and for
federal mandate retrofits and upcomming epa rules. I see the Riverside
facility always busy and they recently re filled their lot with over what must
be 1,000 city and transit bus units. the good part about their continued health
is their parking lot is full from 9-5.

It is just ashame that auctioneers didnt sell larger lots like you described
with some one buying the entire cage area for 40G's. less stuff would be parted
out and only big players would be bidding. Would have been good for someone like
Birtles ,Dupree or Parliment to land a large lot and become a source of
continued distribution. I guess the fat lady sang.

Steve,

Anyone that was at the auction knows the impact of the RATS owners was nil. Shucks. The impact of any BB owners was nil. Owners from as far away from CA were here. Those here witnessed an Historical event and the opportunity to pick up a few things. Not much in individual vintage parts and those that were available were parts of much larger parts

Those that were not here did so from lack of desire or opportunity. I wish all birders could have been here to experience it. However Steve, I doubt any effort on your part to change the mind to those that were not here will be efforts in futility.
