Push Water ??

Has anyone East bound on I-10 seen a place that has a good price on push water.
We wil see all of you Thuesday night the 19th at the Q nest.

The price of Diesel in Ehrenburg,Az. is $2.89. Truck price is more.
We'll make"Q" this aftenoon, after we do some grocery shopping, and top off the
Propane tank.

Did you know ii is illegal to buy Diesel for your MH at a car pump in AZ unless
you notify the cashier and pay the extra tax? I wonder if they have inspectors.
Maybe an AZ resident can clarify this. Fred??

They never pay attention. When I use a Flying J RV card at a truck pump, even,
it gives me the "under 26,000 lb" discount. As far as they are concerned, all
RVs are under 26K

I have not had any sitiation like you are describing,if any rules are in force at all,the taxxes must be paid on any commercial vehicle 26000 lbs or more or a 3rd axle.

Some or most fuel stations have rvpumps and the taxes reflect no 8 cent tax.

I had one attendent tell me I had to pay thetax and I told not so that this is a private non commercial coach and no tax applies.He insisted and I went across the street.

If something like a law exists, I have no knowledge of it at all.

They could easily change the wording to all vehicles over 26000 lbs.but I don't know that they have.

I agree with Fred on this. Some stations won't give RV's the tax break if the
rv's use the truck pumps. Not all stations do this trick. If an Rv buys fuel
from a truck pump, and does not tell the attendant, they will be charged the
ton/mile tax as per commercial trucks.
If an commercial truck buys fuel from a car island they must inform the station
with all their vin# Lic plate#, etc.

I have never heard such a thing and I do it all the time. Motor Homes are licensed the same as cars in AZ so why would there be an extra tax on fuel? Extra tax applies to over 26,000 lbs and/or more than 2 axles. Most PT and wide body 'birds will owe the extra tax. Exemption applies only to school busses, government vehicles, and "charitable" (church) busses and similar vehicles. It's pretty clear if you read the stickers on the pumps.

However, the fill-ups I did at Flying J in Kingman (on my way into high-tax CA), the clerk just gave me the discount without my asking -- I did my fillup at the commercial pumps, not the RV pumps. I didn't really check to stickers on the pump, so I assumed the clerk knew what they were doing. On my last visit to the Kingman Flying J, I actually read the pump-sticker and didn't see that I qualified as exempt.
