Fresh Water System Issue

Hello All,
Background: I have been parked in a RV park for 10 -11 months. Over the last
couple of months I've noted a decline in the the water pressure inside the coach
while hooked up to the outside water supply. Incoming water pressure is okay. If
the water pump is turned on, the system pressures up and holds the pressure
normally. If the fresh water tank fill switch is engaged the sporlan valve
(R-184) activates but the pressure and volume of water going into the tank is
also very diminished.
I replaced the diaphragm and o-ring in the sporlan a couple of months ago and
all still appears to be okay.

Present:
This morning I awoke to find the water pressure in the coach to be non-existent;
nada; only a drip. Incoming pressure is still okay. System pressures up as
normal if the water pump is turned on. When the fresh water tank fill switch is
activated, the sporlan valve activates, the system pressure generated by the
pump is dumped but no water is entering the tank now either.

The maze of plastic and copper tubing under the bed is a bit confusing to the
non-informed. I traced it out as well as I can but I am drawing a blank as to
where a logical place a blockage might be in the system piping. I'm not certain
how the sporlan valve works and if it can be checked for flow across it without
removing it or not. Does anyone have any insights, fresh water system diagrams
or any suggestions in general?

It may be that sediment and rust have gathered on the screen on the intake connector - it's happened to me several times even though I use two filters prior to entering the coach. Just unhook your hose from the coach and check that screen.

Hi Dave;
Sounds like the screen at the water inlet is plugged up. Remove the water hose
from shore water at the Coach and look into the inlet port of the fill
regulator. You may need to replace the regulator and that is usually a 10 minute
job as you should have the inlet that is indent conical.

Ralph, Thanks very much for putting me on the problem. I found the regulator
screen plugged with alge. The previous owner had re-engineered the inlet
assembly and added a pvc check valve down stream of the regulator. It looks like
I'm getting a pressure drop over it as well. I'm thinking of upping the pressure
on the regulator to over come the drop over the check valve. FYI I have kept my
string of more than 10 minute jobs on the bird intact. David 89 WB Crosby TX

Jerry, Thanks for the reply and please see my response to Ralph.
I too use two filters for all water before it enters the coach. The previous
owner had totally redone the original design from BB and getting to the new
regulator entailed some work. He installed a Wilkens Model 600 regulator which
is big, strong and bulky. I was unable to see the screen or able to extract it
through the wall of the coach. to clean it out. I had to pull out the regulator
from under the bed with a lot of help from my wife. Took an 1&1/4" wrench to
open the screen cavity. I will definitely pay more attention to the algae
build-up on the walls of the hose which is downstream of my filters in the
