Wanderlodge WB40 Trans temp sender unit
Looking for suggestions on locating a sending unit for my 1991 WB40 Wanderlodge.
This Wanderlodge has the 8V92 detroit with the 745 allison w/retarder. In my Wanderlodge manual it shows this as "Sender oil temp, Transmission with retarder" Part# 1197920. Is there a place that still has some Wanderlodge parts inventory? If not....would you think this is a "detroit part", "allison part", "wanderlodge part" or "Bluebird part". Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks, Gerald |

I would say none of the above. Senders/gauges are normally a matched pair. Meaning Teleflex. |

Hi Gerald,
This will likely be a part you can obtain from Allison or even perhaps your local Napa dealer or truck part store. It will be a sending unit that Allison should be able to provide you will once you give them your transmission information. Cheers Gary |

Thanks for the replies....The part number appears to be "Bluebird" specific.
Doesn't mean anything to my local "Allison" or "Detroit" dealer. Didn't have any luck at "Napa" either. Googleing "teleflex" doesn't show the sender I'm looking for. This sender controls the "red light" that is located on the trans oil temp guage. The guage itself, has its own sender. Contacted "Parliament Coach" and they are seeing if they can come up with something. Again thanks for the responses, Gerald |

Mine doesn't have a separate "red light" with sender, so I didn't realize there
were two. Looking around the internet it appears that the most common is a single sender that handles both gauge and light. See, for example, the third sender on this page: http://www.egauges.com/vdo_send.asp?Send...F_150C_VDO Don Bradner 90 PT40 "Blue Thunder" My location: http://www.bbirdmaps.com/user2.cfm?user=1 On 10/4/2010 at 6:49 PM Pete wrote: >Thanks for the replies....The part number appears to be "Bluebird" >specific.
