Window Shades
Does anyone know where to buy day/night shades other than Camping World? Has
anyone replaced their day/night shades with other types of shades? Trying to get some ideas and places to buy. Have a great Thanksgiving everyone. Randy Merrill 2003 40" LX Ocala, FL |

Thanks for the email heads up Ernie,
MCD Innovations McKinney TX. http://www.mcdinnovations.com Better than day nights, takes some modification, more money. Worth it. Several folks on Escapees forums bought them and love them too: http://www.rvnetwork.com/index.php (use search feature) Webshots pics of installation: http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/albu...3740eIprVN Dan 94 BB BMC 37 --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, Ernie Ekberg > > There is a place in Dallas. Randy not sure what direction you are going to go on this but I will pass n a great idea that I have not done yet but
a friends has. If you use the same shades that were in the Bird to start with on the side windowsconsider this. Install them upside down so that you have to pull them UP not down when you want privacy, this will give you the privacy but not shut off the open window for light and air when the windows are open. Randy, on the day and night shades, we tried many times just to get a
quote out of the Camping Worlds in Texas. Although they advertize the shades, we couldn't even get an appointment to talk to anyone who knew anything about them. I don't know why. Did some research on line and got some quotes from some domestic blind (house type) specialists but wasn't impressed... too expensive and I didn't think they'd hold up to travel and/or routine cleaning. By the way, have you ever tried to clean a day night? They won't clean, they just get darker. Anyway, after much research, finally went to MCD Innovations in Mckinney, TX. We had the American Duo, day/night system installed on the inside of the windshield and on the inside of the two bedroom windows. They are not cheap and there were some installation problems but they did make good on them. All in all, we're happy with the outcome. Good luck in your project. 2000 LXI in San Antonio --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Randall" wrote: > > Does anyone know where to buy day/night shades other than Camping World? Don,
We just purchased our Bird in January, so haven't had a chance to travel much yet. Don't need shades. Just wonder if you knew my grandma Blanche Porterfield, Chiropractor, or my Aunt Lucille Walker secretary at Knock, or cousin Dick Walker, school counceler? We are hoping to go to Hershey next October. Hi     Linda & Micheal     I don't know any of the people you mentioned. Did you live in this area or just your family? If you go to Hershey in Oct. are you stopping in this part of the state? Is that the rally that Shane has the first of Oct. Wasilla must be a nice place to live. I've never been to AK before I know it is a long trip from here. I know some of the people on this forum were planing no going up there this next summer. I don't know if that is still on yet or not.Â
