Dash AC
2 questions Not sure I have dash air on my 1983 àPT 35 WL, donââ¬â¢t see a compressor on the rear engine and the top unit at the front of the coach has been removed. It does have the controls on the dash, but dot think they work. On a pusher does the dash air have compressor on the engine and evap at front? My 110V split system uses R22 àand was low had to have ref tech fill $50. Lb not sure if it could be switch to 134. Bill 1983 PT 35 WL PC, FL. Bill,
Sounds like your dash air has been removed with no condenser on the roof and no compressor at the rear of the engine. On 23 March 2011 09:35, Bill Jowers <"bgjowers@knology.net"> wrote:

Can be used for another alt. if needed. Hoses to old to replace and dash didn't cool anyways. The 134 has smaller molocules than the R22 and will leak thru the hoses...you would need to change out the hoses also. For us, it's easier to run roof air and gen to keep up front cool. Compressor weighed 40 lbs also. Bob Lawrence 84 PT36 Ft. DeSoto, Fla-volunteering till Aug |
