1977 Bluebird Anniversary edition for sale.
Greetings to all!

I have a '77 sitting in my driveway in St. Augustine that I bought restored in
2004. Unfortunately the outside is rusting but the interior is pretty cool with
dual a/c, clean fridge and stove. It has wooden floors and the bathroom has a
tub/shower and a new toilet and cool cabinets. If someone is looking for an
engine (cat) and a transmission(allson) and wants the body for whatever, I'll
let it go for 5K but you'll need to have it towed at your cost as the tires
although only had 5K on them are rotting. The batteries died but I fired it
regularly
until mid Jan. I'll miss her, but never use it anymore.

Excuse me for the confusion - I have the original manual in front of me and on the cover it says 50th Anniversary 1927-1977 so I assumed that it was the Anniversary edtion. Wonder why they made the 79 the anniversary edition?

Body # F34870 so it's probably 34 feet - I always thought for some reason it was 32 feet

That may have been the 50th anniversary of the Bluebird factory. Wanderlodges were started in 64, thus a 79 coach would have a 15th anniversary and the 89 would have the 25th or XXV logo.

Thanks Ernie

Now I get it! The guy I bought it from was under the same impression and I never really studied the history.

Good morning Ernie,

While your math may be correct, the XXV was an 88 model per the ones I have seen
and on the history page at VB. So I guess the 79 "anniversary" model was based
on production in 64 and the XXV was based on the 63 "prototype"? Never thought
about it before.
