Bob, thanks for the input. I will try the same procedure. However, I would like
more information as I have no experience with cannon plugs. Where are they located?? I have heard that you must have special pliers to remove some types of cannon plugs. How did you remove yours? Also, where did you purchase the tuner cleaner? Give me as much information as you can as I have no idea where to begin. The ground straps are not a problem as I previously installed additional ones. Thanks, I know the plugs you are talking about now. I did not realize that they
call them cannon plugs. Thanks again. Gene Marshall, Dickinson, Texas 1988 PT40 WB |

I also have a 1988 pt40 with the check engine light that comes on
when I pull a long hill, this has been constant for four years, The code say low coolant when the tank is full. I have been into William Detroit in Georgia and Phoenix, Detroit diesel shops in North Dakota, Kansas, Missouri, Michigan, and more. The suggestions and cures have ranged from poor ground, bad injectors, bad sender, to duck tape over the lite. I now believe it must be a fault in the computer or wiring or other magical places. But, if other 88 pt40 owners have the same problem it probably is a manufacuring flaw. If anyone finds a cure please post it. --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "gewans2" wrote: > I also have a 88 PT40 WB with the exact symtoms, must be a > manufactured problem. > > Gene Shutt 88 PT40 WB > > > > --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, vmarshall@h... wrote: > > Andy, thanks for the reply. Does anyone know where to find a coolant sensor for a DDEC II 8V.
Mine has, I think, gone to it's great reward. You would think BB used better parts than to only last 21 years. Steve Gureasko 90WBWL401/2 Jus Chillin Ponchatoula, La. |
