Black Water Tank Repair; was Re: Thanks,

What caused the pinhole in the tank? And could it have been prevented?

It was a little more than a pinhole. Kind of hard to describe but I'll try.
The front tank on my 96 is the grey water, next is the freshwater, and then
rearmost is the black tank. There is no support between the tanks, they just
sit next to each other. when the grey and black tanks are empty and the
freshwater tank is full the sides of the tank expand putting pressure on the
sides of the grey and black tanks. I assume that the walls of the fresh tank
flex going down the road and eventually cracked the black tank. The repair was
made with 3M 5200 Marine sealant. I'll try and take a picture and post it.
