No Bird Owner
Our beloved 1973-FC31 is now with a new owner. We have tried to sell it or a
year with no luck.. So we tried the trade idea. Now we own a great Harley Road King.. The Bird is a wonderful coach, but even the 31 foot version was quite large, expensive, and hard to service for us, and the Gas engine and Juce Brakes made it a bit hard to drive. Our first coach, in 2000, was a 21 foot Toyota Class C. Upon retirement we loaded it up with ourselves, our 2 Cats and the Possum, and in the six months on the road we covered 22,600 miles. From L.A. to Seattle, Black Hills, Great Lakes, New York, Nova Scotia, Maine to Deleware, and Hwy 40 to home, stopping at Graceland, of course. The Toyota got us into places a larger Coach could not, and the 14 gallon gastank could run us from sunup to dark.. We did not stay over two or three nights in any one spot. The Wanderlodge people are a great group, and we missed the last few rallies. We plan getting a class C and attending Rallys soon as a SOB, and parking on the parameter. It was a fun ride, and we enjoyed what we were part of. Thank You Jack & Donna Smith |

Jack, Sad congrats on finally moving the Bird. I hope you will continue to hang out here and contribute as you have in the past. As one Harley owner to another, I know you will enjoy that Road King, but PLEASE always remember you were much safer in the Bird. Stay alert, stay safe, happy riding. Best wishes for the future.
