RE: Cool Flxible on Ebay
I met a man in Spokane, Washington, about 10 years ago that showed me his motorhome project in his garage. He had a Flxible that he had been working on for 18 years. I cannot remember the details but he had repowered it, changed the cooling structure and had the interior nearly finished.
He had done very competent work but I felt that he was almost reluctant to finish it and put it on the road because it would prove (or disprove) 18 years of work. I remember when I was a teenager, the local transport company (not Greyhound) were using these buses. We lived in town one winter and us kids would go up to the bus depot to see the arriving and departing activity. Entertainment can be hard to come by in a one street town. Charley Pride had it right in his song about Saturday night. 2003 LXI dbl. slide George & Norma Fox Mexico in Winter Alaska in Summer http://www.doszorros.com |

RE: Cool Flxible on Ebay
Quiz, Does anyone(without looking it up) know what engine came in a Flxible?
Yes it was a gas burner a GM product, and a straight 8. I will provide the answer, tomorrow if no one guesses correctly. Steve Gureasko 90 WBSA "Jus Chillin" Ponchatoula, La. |

RE: Cool Flxible on Ebay
I was going to guess Studebaker, but curiosity go the better of me so I'm now officially disqualified! :-)
We haven't drummed up the old the jukebox here lately on WaGu, so here's one for you: david brady, '02 Wanderlodge LXi 'Smokey' (Sold), '04 Prevost H3 Vantare 'SpongeBob' "I don't like being wrong, but I really hate being right" |

RE: Cool Flxible on Ebay
David, your too young to remember them(in person), but Bob & I do. We have seen them running the roads as regular transit. Cool buses. No A/C, just the wind in your hair(when we had lots of that), and dust.
Oh, and Bob is correct on the engines. Steve Gureasko 90 WBSA "Jus Chillin" Ponchatoula, La. |
