Tela and I spent 4 days at Rutledge Lake RV Park 3 years ago in May. We were parked in site 73 which is a parallel site along the main road through the park. A 5th wheel was backed into site 72 with the main awning extended and the owners gone for the day. A wind & rain storm came around 2 PM and tore their awning completely off the 5th wheel before I could get over there to try to fold it up.

We may be able to be there in Oct, don't know yet.

Gregg I'm very much looking forward to you and your wife's visit. My wife and I and have been living in Asheville for 7 years but we haven't really explored the place. The trouble is, when we have a spare minute we climb into the Bird and off we go. Now that we have three children, ages 2, 4, and 7, we find ourselves spending more time at home, but I could still use your wife's guidance on the intricacies of the Biltmore House. We have the Grove Park Inn, which is a must see, the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Greater Smokey Mountains during the Fall Foliage, and of course downtown Asheville. We have some time between now and then to solidify the details, but I'm all ears as far as suggestions. Thanks for coming! David

Wish you could make it Ned. Asheville is a paradise. I grew up on the East coast and lived in PA, TN, NY, NJ, CA, FL, VA, and NC and Asheville is one of the few places on the east coast that I'd live. Its the next best thing to Golden and Boulder CO, Santa Fe NM, and Santa Cruz CA. Its got that live and let live philosophy and lifestyle that appeals to me. It'll be a great rally!
