David, something happened, positive. Much better, thank you. I sent you a link to whatever you asked for.

I'm happy to hear that at least some of the woes are behind us; I haven't thrown in the towel yet! I got your http://www.webpagetest.org results. This particular test actually looks okay. There's an 8 second delay to negotiate the SSL Certificate, but that's probably because it was the initial test and the certificate wasn't cached. A repeat test should show an improvement in speed. Thanks for the data. Thanks Chuck and Randy for your data. First view of around 2s and repeat view of around 1s is pretty standard and is what I also tend to see. RE: WaGu Browsing Performance Issues
Just to experiment a little I got rid of the googe SEO (search engine optimization) which eliminates all those time consuming rewrite rules and I moved us from https back to http which eliminates the time consuming SSL certificate negotiation. Let's run like this for a while to see if it's an improvement. From my latest http://www.webpagetest.org output it looks like things are quite fast with these new settings:

For the last week, I have had major problems with the site, but this morning everything works well, thanks for whatever you did.

RE: WaGu Browsing Performance Issues
Thanks Steve, I appreciate the feedback. Turns out I did make a change yesterday. I had to reinstall our google seo (search engine optimization) to get our google custom site search working again. This change could certainly have had an effect on WaGu performance. We'll run like this for a while and see how it goes. Folks, please keep me informed if you're having issues. Thanks!

RE: WaGu Browsing Performance Issues
When I was having troubles getting on, I could not send a message. I did try sending smoke signals and calling.

Turns out both typically connect to WaGu over a Verizon Hotspot. If any of you do the same then you're probably having WaGu connection issues too. I can reproduce the problem on my PC using my Android HTC1 Verizon phone with the Hotspot enabled. Sometimes the page loads without a problem, sometimes it spins, sometimes it times-out with the message that I've attached. I can connect to other websites with no issues. Now I can play with it till I figure out a fix. First up is a call to Verizon.
