It is unfair, Liz for you to be name calling a salesperson because
YOU neglegted to ask the right questions. I work at the dealership
in question and I can vouch for everyone here we are honest and
forthright. I understand sales has a bad reputation and people come
here with preconceived notions. But I think every sales person
should be judged individually. I'm sure whatever line of work you
were/are in there were some people less honest then others. We are
here to make a living jsut like any other job. I am fairly new to
sales and from my experiences with customers I could easily have some
negative preconceptions of my own about RV buyers. I instead choose
to give each customer the utmost respect and have never resorted to
name calling when they misrepresented their trade or financial
circumstances. So please in the future keep your negative comments
to your self especially when you admit your the one at fault. I'm
sure whoever your sales person was did not enjoy having their time
wasted on a person not buying a coach just because the cabinets were
the wrong color! I just could not let your comments go unanswered.

Sincerely,

PS. We just got in a PINK AND PURPLE 1990 PT40 that can be had for a
good price BECAUSE of the color.

I guess that explains the $75k price and why there's no pictures on
your web site! Broke the camera, huh?

That salesperson sent me pictures of that coach. i told him that Brenda and
i were of a more traditional nature and while the price was very attractive,
that we would have to pass. ernie- with the old 83pt40- that got me here
with no problems in Montana

Good one Mike... We won't go back there for anything. The three sales guys
"helping" us were flippant, ignorant, and clueless about the birds we were
looking at.
Half the features they attempted to show us didn't work, water leaks
everywhere and
no one wanted to do a thing about them....It was if they were doing us a favor.

Now, now Blair, play nice with our corporate members. ;^)

IMO, a purple and pink Bird is just too much for any camera..... it's
amazing what some folks will order and buy.

Sure, right. Who ever hired the lady that did the interior decorating
during that period was
smoking the wrong kind of weed. We've been in coach's that looked like
grandmothers
over stuffed sofa from the fifties... We saw one new bird at the valley
that was stunning.
Beautiful oak rift sawn book matched paneling and warm earth toned fabrics
and floor.
The most gorgeous and understated coach we've ever seen. Guess
what....it was
custom....

Blair, Mike et. al.,

I'm not sure it was someone of the feminine persuasion who came up
with those decorating schemes. Most women have much better taste than
that. Whoever did, they were more likely tripping on acid than tokin'
on a number...

For $75K you could buy the 'Bird, go to Coachcraft, Jeff Miller or any
number of places - spend the $10-20K saved and have a much more
tasteful and inviting interior installed. Or am I California dreamin'?

ARGHHHHHH back to you.
Jim,

I was thinking the same thing. $75k for a 90 is not that bad. You
could re-do the interior up real nice with the savings. If you just
re-laminated the cabinets, it would not cost that much. I had some
rental property cabinets re-laminated a few years back for hardly
anything. In fact, I was thinking about relaminating the bathroom
cabinets on my 91 Bird.

On the other hand, if the purple and pink colors that were discussed
on that 90 are also on the outside paint, now we're talking real
money. Unless Birtles has his new paint shop operational and is
willing to cut some deals! 8^) There's a shop called Texas Custom
Coach outside of San Antonio that was quoting $6500 to do a bus a
couple of years ago when I last checked. They do entertainer coaches,
get a bunch lined up, prep them and then fly in the guys from StarJet
to shoot them.

Didn't I recently hear about some off-road adventures that you had?
Have you started repairing the Bird yet?
