Home safe and sound
Good morning to everyone:

Am home from the trip to Alabama and out of the "love bug" area! Yea!! No
offense to anyone in the Southern regions of our Nation, but I do home
those pesky little critters never find their way to Oklahoma.

If your planning a trip out along I-20, make reservations well in advance.
ALL motels are full and getting a room as your driving is impossible. And
from what I saw, so were the RV parks I passed on I-20, I-45, and I-98 as
well as I-65. Just a little trip info there. Also all the rest stops were
packed to the brim.

I had a very nice visit with Trudy and Lisa in their '85 PT40 located at
the Escapees park near Mobile Alabama and met Pete Anderson '87 PT38 in a
small town North of Mobile about 80 miles or so. All the while, keeping a
"weather eye" out for the strong side of the bands from "Rita." While
traveling the back by-ways to and from that area, I did see many of the
effects of the Hurricane that hit New Orleans. Road signs laying over like
someone took their hand and swatted them over all through that Country.
Snapped trees were everywhere and fuel was scarce in many places. I came to
really appreciate what members of this Forum, who live in that area, went
through. I do not envy you all the work your going through down there, but
VERY happy that all are safe.

Safe travels,

Ralph and Charolette Fullenwider
