If I remember right the TV was just held in with the straps. You can take
the front off with some screws in the side brackets & take the TV out the
front. I needed to do this anyway because I wanted to fasten my Flat screen to
the
front.

Is,

the TV connected(screwed)to the plywood base it sits on? I am
trying to replace it. Have already took off metal strap over tv. Also
does the tv come out the rear with base attached, or through the front?

Hi Ed,

It would help if you would sign your posts and indicate what model you
have so that we can response more accurately. For instance, if you
are talking about the backup monitor/TV in an 83 PT, the answer is
that the monitor is connected to the upper dash housing by four screws
around the front of the monitor. Disconnect high power cable and lift
out. So, what model are you talking about? And, is it the TV/backup
monitor or a separate TV?

Thanks,
