I need help ... there is a loud whistle in my bus...
I went into my bus this morning and there is a loud whistleing type
sound coming from the front otf the coach. sounds like an alarm.

I have no idea what this is. on the closet wall there is a tester
paned for propane, but it is not that. I turned off the 12 volt master
and the whistle remains.

Does anyone know what this might be, it's quite annoying, and I havn't
been able to locate the source of the sound yet.

Thanks.

James,
A few things come to mind. 1) a radar detector mounted up front is
turned on and receiving a signal. 2) shore line warning buzzer. 3) CB on
and speaker noise. 4) stereo on and speaker noise. 5) TV on and speaker
noise.

Do you live in Las Vegas? Are you interested in attending a SouthWest
Bird rally?

---It's a 1978 FC33 ... The whistleing sound is loudest behind the
front passenger seat. Sounds like it's coming from the over head
cabinets, that is where it is the loudest.

sounds like either a speaker or it could be your musical horn
amplifier which is in the front overhead bin IF you have one.

The only possibility would be the shore line buzzer. Thanks for
your response, can you tell me more about the shoreline buzzer?

There may be an air leak in the valve for the air horn.
On our 88 it is in the wiring race above the overhead cabinets.
above the driver & passenger seats, one on each side of the ceiling
for the left and right side air horns.
Do not know about your 1978.

James:

In addition to the suggestions made, there are air lines in the overhead as
well, going to the air horns. One popped loose? But the shore power alarm
sounds like the best bet.
