Gang

I know I do not have my bird yet. My daughter and son-in-law have
recceived orders to Bilox,MS (Air Force thinking) they thought they
had found an apartment. Today when they went to confirm everything
with the complex and found out that they could not be guarnteed an
apartment by his report No Later Than date of Apr 30. They are both
stressed out, I should have my bird by the time they move and they
have all ready mentioned living in a motor home and they do not have
one. HELP

Hugh, you must not of heard of the recent disaster "Katrina". There
is no housing available on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. People down
here are still living in tents! Their is no place to park a
motorhome, all the spots are taken up by FEMA trailers(tens of
thousands of them), out of state contractors, etc. If you found an
apartment or trailer site it would most likely be high priced. I
highly advise that your daughter and son-in-law let Keesler
personnel find on base housing or other suitable housing. We have a
tremendous amount of non-resident people here helping in recovery
from the storm. I don't see housing improving for a long long time.

Specifically: What are you asking? We are Bird Owners looking to
assist each other with coach related problems and modifications.
Don't see how we can be of service.

Not sure what you are looking for..... But, if they are going to
Keesler AFB at Biloxi, it, along with everything else was severely
damaged by Katrina. I have a feeling that the service person should go
and report in, get settled and the spouse should wait at a comfortable
place until the other can see what the situation is. The last I saw of
the place, it was like a war zone. I would not take my spouse until
I had secured a place.

Keesler had a FamCamp (campground) but the info I had was that it was
closed due to the damage. Again, I would leave the spouse at home
until a place can be secured.

He may have to go there a while and have her join him later.

I imagine that any camp grounds would already be full

Hi Hugh,

Like others, I'm not quite sure what you have in
mind that the Forum group can provide.

To echo what others have said and for what it's
worth, we have military kin folk that are stationed in
the area who lost their newly purchased home to the
storm. Wife and 4 kids had to move out of state and
back with family until area is rebuilt, husband is on
promotion list for E-8, so even he can't swing any
special favors when all the folks are hurting.

Hugh, I keep reading your post and can't quite understand what you
are asking for??? However, Your last sentence is revealing

"I should have my bird by the time they move and they
have all ready mentioned living in a motor home and they do not have
one. HELP"

I suggest you get caller ID

O.K., since you clarified it. I would have expected you to simpy ask
for any leads on a property that they could lease. You seemed to beat
around the bush and never come to the point of the question and many
of us couldn't understand what you were looking for.

Glad you found a house and good luck to you and your family.
