Rear Air Ride Adjustment
I know you have had this post alot.. However when I looked back,
didn't see much posted on my specific model... I have a 81 FC-33SB. The left(driver side) rear does not pump up..She leans like hell (front and rear). From what I have read, I need to check the valve and/or the adjustment rod. Well, under the bird(with the air dump on- so she all the way down and does not fall on me) I cannot find any valves in the back area.. I see the single front one in the center, but cannot get to anywere in the rear to see them. Its ether the rear jacks in the way or the tank---in front of the wheels the mufflers, and genny in the way.. How does one get to look at anything underthere concerning the air susp.? Rear Air Ride Adjustment
I have done a lot of work on mine...but I have a 35, not a 33, and it's
RB, not SB. I would suggest trying to locate the rod first, then follow it up to the valve. But you are on the right track, it is definately the valve of the rod. Rear Air Ride Adjustment
Thank you for the info. I can't even find the rod!
I guess I will have to just crawl under there carefully in the center (by the air susp, and rear axle) and see what I can see! I kind of get creeped out under there (and I'm not claustrophobic!) I might have to take her somewhere to get fixed. I need to make an appt over at Caterpillar to get the valves adjusted anyway. Rear Air Ride Adjustment
You will need to be under the center of the coach to find them. I
did all the work on mine with the air dumped, there was enough space to crawl around under there just fine. Get where your head is up by the differential with a flashlight and you should be able to find the rods.
