Oh no. These vehicles should be reserved for those who worked for them. That way the significance of their worth is appreciated.

Owner of:

1977 Mercedes 280E
1984 Mercedes 500 SEC AMG
1984 Mercedes 500 SEC Lorinser minus front spoiler which is Zender until I find a Lorinser. Fat chance! Wish me luck!

Wonderful collection you have their Leroy. The car I posted is far too nice for a sixteen year old; I secretly want it for myself. I think it's the legendary W111 chassis. I'm sure she hums like a sewing machine! Smile

Yes, the W111 is a beautiful car but probably not daily driver material these days. However, the W123 280E gasser I have is great. I put 100 miles a day on it. it's like a Caddy.

I don't collect them, I drive them. Great value and fairly easy to maintain if you pay attention to PM of the timing chain and guides.

Very nice ride and cool picture setting Leroy! Where was that station? Was it actually active or just a relic?

What do you say Mike?

It is not an active station but preserved in the historic (they are all historic these days) railroad town of Talmo, GA.

You really would not go there for any reason. Nothing there except this station, a two bay fire station and a big oak tree in the road.

Those twin 4bbls get gallons to the mile. Even doing your own wrenching, the fuel consumption may make SpongeBob look like an econobox.
