A cool trick to correct some server side image handling limits is to
click on the thumbnail
then right click on the image
in the dropdown menu (Chrome) click on open image in a new tab, go to that new tab , click again if magnifying icon appears
in the dropdown menu (Firefox) click on View Image , if a magnifying glass appears you can click to a full upload size view for max detail
in dropdown menu (InternetExplorer) dont use IE

often this will allow you to view the full image stored on the server
