cooling fan running too slow
Hello. New member here. I have a 2004 Blue Bird LTC-40 that has been converted to a motorhome. It has a CAT C12 engine. It is the same chassis that the Wanderlodges were built on. I believe my danfoss Radiator Fan is turning too slowly. For some background information. I have the electronic controller unplugged which should make the fan run wide open. In the past, unplugging the controller would kick the fan into high. The fan on the CAC is turning much faster. Today when I started the engine the fan was not turning until I spun it with my hand. I ran my rig in the ditch before this happened and busted one of the large hydraulic hoses on the bottom of the reservoir. After the wrecker put me back on the road, I drove about 30 yards without fluid to get the rig back into the driveway. My current symptoms are engine begins to warm up past 210 when going up hills. I changed the thermostat, coolant, and radiator cap today before I noticed the fan not turning like it should.
Thank you for any advice you may be able to offer.
