Chat night re visited
Hi everyone:

Ok, Monday is out due to Monday night football and I agree on that one, a
poor choice.

Tuesday night is chat night on another Forum, Wednesday night on yet
another Forum.

So that leaves Thursday night since Friday goes into the weekend and many
are out and about at that time.

What say you to Thursday nights at 8PM Central time?

Safe travels,

Ralph and Charolette Fullenwider

Sounds fine with me. Don't forget to post a reminder on Thursday
morning. Everyone gets busy and forgets. Unfortunately, I have a
meeting on the the Second Thursday of the month at the time of the
chat. That's this Thursday.

Why is this forum worried about what day other forums are setting up
their chat nights? There is already to much fragmentation among the
forums with everyone worried about what others will think about which
ones they belong to. Set a night for THIS forum and stick to it.
Everyone might be surprised that people that now lurk will now participate.

Tom, It looks to me that the moderators/Ralph are doing the BEST
THING FOR THE COMMUNITY. Trying to avoid further fragmentation. I
think that having options during the week makes a whole lot of sense.
If I am busy one night I can still check in on another. It appears to
me that your post would like to "continue to fragment" rather than
all work together. Heck most folks visit all the sites anyway. I
think the forums are "trying" to work together and get along for the
betterment of the community.
Just my .02 worth.

I am not atttempting to fragment anything nor am I suggesting any one
else do it. What I am saying is that we should set our chat night to
accomodate the members of this forum first and if that doesnt work to
everyones satisfaction then set a time to not conflict with the other
forums. There is nothing that says that all of the forums cant have a
chat night on the very same night. In fact the very idea that this
forum has its chat night on a night that other forums are having one,
may just be the inducement for some lurkers to participate. I have a
feeling that some members will just wait to see which forum chat is
easiest to ask questions in and get answers they understand. I dont
think this is wrong.
