'The Horn' is inopertive on my coach. Anyone have any trouble-shooting
tips?

If you are referring to the Musical Horn,
the highest failure items are the speakers on the
roof.

Scott,

Disconnect the speakers to test them, Use an Ohm meter and touch
the speaker wires, you should hear a scratching, or ticking, or
snapping sound. If you do not have a MutiMeter, (get one) use a
standard flashlight battery. The speaker should make a sound as you
touch the battery to the speaker wires.
Usually the speaker cone has deteriorated or the small braided wire
to the fiber cone is broken. Sometimes you can get lucky and solder
a piece of wire to reattach the connection, This may work for awhile.

I have a friend driving a SOB (Airstream) that is interested in finding a
used Horn. Any one with a source?

The Horn
Jim,

I've got it, but it's over at Florida Outdoors in the coach. Just walk over and
it's in one of the drawers to the right as you enter.

Or I can fax it to you tomorrow if you give me your fax number.

Jim, Unfortunately there are many different lists. The horns can be
reprogrammed. In fact, the folks at PMMI were doing them at a RITV a
few years ago and I had mine reprogrammed from an available list of
1000's of songs. You may get lucky and find one from a similar year
coach but you may have to do it the hard way. When we got our '90, the
list did not match the horn. A 2 hour run on a deserted interstate
fixed that problem!!

Jim, Within the last 30 days I got the horn on our FC reprogrammed
from PMMI. I have the most current list. Unfortunately, I can not
find your email. I would be happy to email you, or anyone else the
current list. Send me an email and I will send it. My email is
cme4boatsataoldotcom.

Hi Everyone,

My musical horn worked fine for years, but now it plays a totally
different song than selected. No matter what number I key in I get
something other than selected. Has anyone had this happen, and do you
think getting it reprogrammed will solve the problem?

Thanks,
