towed lights hookup?
Here is a brain teaser! I have an 80FC with dual filiment 1157 bulbs
on the bottom and single 1156 bulbs on the top. The following is true
at the rear of the bus!

1. Running lights on bottom lights only as expected.
2. Brake lights work on all both top and bottom right side but only
bottom on the left. This also goes for the emergency flashers
3. Turn signals work top right or top left when selected as expected.

Why does the brake light not work on the top left side? This also
causes the left brake light on the car not to work. Note: this was
true before the car was hooked up.

Any help would be appreciated....And....It's good to be back...Todd

The lower brake/flasher light on either side is a separate wire,
running from the twin larger relays in the front overhead mounted
high on the right side of the relay/breaker panel. If the relays both
energize with the 4-way flashers, it is either the flasher unit or
wiring to the rear, you'll have to chase the connections from there.
Try running 12v to the N.O. contact of the left relay to see if the
bulb gets power (I assume you've already checked the bulb, socket,
and socket ground).

I replaced the contacts and bulbs on the rear. the upper works fine for the
turnsignal but won't light for the brake. I figured it must be something in the
overhead with the relays. I only found one flasher and replaced it anyway. I
have wiring diagrams but they are not detailed enough to figure this one
out.........
