RE: steerable tag
Hey Rick,

That's great progress - thanks for sharing it with us.

During the WaGu Asheville rally we crawled all over Al Perna's coach searching for steer axle part numbers.

For the steer tag axle shock we have Koni pNo: 88-1639,
For the steering stabilizer we have Gabriel pNo: 630541

For Hub piloted steer axle:
Hub and Cup assy: Webb 25231-3T
Brake Drum 16.5 x 6, Webb 65179B
Oil Slinger Webb 73615

90-2497SP1 is definitely correct for the steer axle. I find mine ride and handle best when set on full soft.

Thanks to Arcticdude, Al, Gregg, Corey, and Chuck for pulling these pNo's together. :-)

RE: steerable tag
In looking at the tag shock picture, I see it's an adjustable shock. Has anybody played with the settings there?

RE: steerable tag
Do all 1999 LXi 43' coaches have the steerable tags?

RE: steerable tag
Hmm, after doing more reading I believe my coach may have that steerable tag axel....
Should I be concerned?

RE: steerable tag
Mike,

Your coach does have a steerable tag. Blue Birds fix to the issues sometimes experienced was to weld the locking pins in place effectively making it a fixed tag. Some folks have no problems with their steerable tags, some have had to machine new taper locking pins to fix the issues, and some have the factory weld fix. It'd be worthwhile to see how yours is set up.

RE: steerable tag
The current owner says it steers fine and hasn't given him any issues...
So far it seems that what he's been telling me has been true so let's hope it continues...
