I have just purchased my first Blue bird. Its a 82 FC35. A lot of
things have already been done to it, but I have a lot to learn and
ideas I want to talk about. Our first trip will be to the FMCA show at
Pomona this next week. We will be staying at the eastshore rv park at
Puddingstone lake. I understand there is a Blue Bird Ralley at the
show. I hope to meet some people and find out more about owning one
of these great coaches. I live in southern Calif. and would like to
find out where the best places are to get service and work done on a
vintage bird. Any response will be greatly appreciated. Our name is
Jim and Linda Marsh. E-mail jhmarsh@... Our Coach's name
is "Serentipity" named that by its previous owners. Thanks for any
response and hope to meet some of you at Pomona.

Jim and Linda,

Even if you aren't able to bring your BB to our SW BB Rally in Anaheim
Hills, you are welcome to drive a car to the RV park and visit with us.

The rally starts this Friday afternoon, and check-out is Sunday morning.
I've heard that the park is already full for new RV'ers this weekend, but if
you are interested in bringing your BB, call the park first. It's called
Canyon RV Park (formerly Featherly Park), and it's in Anaheim Hills, Gypsum Cyn
offramp off the 91 fwy, right on the border of Yorba Linda/Anaheim Hills.

Feel free to give me a call if you have any questions.

Welcome! I hope you find your 'Bird as much fun as we do! I am relatively
new as well... (got mine about a month ago) The people here on the forum
will help you out as much as they can. There is SO much information here.
Sounds like your 'Bird has already had a lot of things done to it- However
my "Bessie" Has a lot yet to be done. You can check out some of my pics in
the 'photos' Section- the 2nd one labeled '1981 Bluebird restoration'.. And
see what I got myself into... LOL - It is fun though.

I'm not retired, or have much time off so I don't attend any out of state
rally's but would like to when she is all restored and a rally comes close
to me someday.

Welcome to our great group.

Jim & Linda,

Congratulations on your new purchase. May you enjoy many miles of
wondrous travel.

Since you are going to the FMCA Convention at Pomona, I would like to
extend an invitation to you and all other Birders to visit the CHP
exhibit, especially the Driving Simulator. This will be the second
time it has been made available to RVers. The first at the Western
Area rally in Indio was very well received. In fact, people from out
of state were trying to hijack it to their rallies.

Also, be sure to attend the Highway Watch program being given by the
CHP. This program was began by the American Trucking Association in
response to 9/11. Again, it was first offered to the RVing public at
the Indio Rally. After a short training program, you are registered as
an official observer, given an "800" number that goes direct to
Homeland Security. If, in your travels, you spot something suspicious
or out of the ordinary, your report may save us from another disaster.

I will be running around at Pomona, getting there on Friday. Hope to
see you there.

Jim & Linda:
Time is short, but you might want to check into the
Southwesrern BB Rally, to be held this weekend at Canyon RV Park, by
the 91 freeway and gypsem canyon rd, in Anahiem Hills.
Check with Curt Springer on this. I think he said there are a few
open spots in the park. We have some 21 coaches signed up.

Jim & Linda,
Congratulation on your New Bird. You will enjoy the good people and the
excellent BlueBird support provide here.

"I understand there is a Blue Bird Ralley at the show." There may be a
Bird Rally at the FMCA show. I have not heard of such. There is an
independent BlueBird rally, that starts this Friday until Sunday noon.
It's being held at the Canyon RV Park in East Anaheim. The park is full
and several Birders are trying to get space. Feel free to stop by on
Saturday. Mention you are with the BlueBird Rally. We have 20 BlueBird
coaches attending, years 1973 to 2000.

If you don't mind, I'd like to add you to our SouthWest BlueBird master
list and stay in touch as other Bird activities come up. Off forum,
please send me your address and phone numbers.
