Upcoming Rally
It is nice to see other areas of the country having great success with
regional rallies. The recent dinners sounded great! Now you know why
the Lone Star Birds keep having rallies!

On April 21-23, the Lone Star Birds will have their 23rd official
rally in Kerrville, Texas at Buckhorn Lake and Resort on IH-10 NW of
San Antonio. Buckhorn Lake is listed as one of the top big rig RV
parks in the country (http://www.buckhornlake.com for details). The park can
be reached at (800)568-6458 to make your reservations.

This is the annual LSB Wildflower Rally in the Hill Country. It is a
really pretty time of year in Texas with all the wildflowers and it is
not too hot during that time of year, so it is a good time to visit.

Everyone is welcome at LSB rallies. We regularly have folks from
Oklahoma and Louisiana. We have had visitors from WI, MN, NM, WA and
even Australia (right Hank?)

I have updated the Rally Sign Up List in the Database. Please sign up
if you are coming. Ron Marabito is wagon master for this rally. The
park does not notify Ron of who has signed up. At last unofficial
headcount, 10 of the 20 reserved spaces were taken. Usually all the
spaces get taken for LSB rallies. If we need more than the first 20,
we can probably get them if we know far enough in advance, but you
need to sign up now.

We hope to see lots of new faces there.

Hey Mike, yep several areas of the country have taken your lead and
hold rallies. After meeting many Lonestar Birds a couple of years ago
at RIV the idea spawned for the MB rally. Heck you Texas boys have
wayy to much fun... At the potluck I actually gave kudos to Ernie for
starting this whole internet thing..THANKS AGAIN ERNIE..I believe
without it many (me) would be lost when it comes to fixes. HMMMM
would'nt it be fun to combine a rally somewhere in the middle? Best
of luck with the upcomming rally..if Marabito (Ron & Shirley) is/are
the rally master well...I am sure it will be first class. Wish we
could be there.

OH BY THE WAY... the "slap yo mamma" BBQ sauce was gone in like 30
seconds..I have a brisket in the fridge in a brine now...just
practicing for the Texas Boys...
