Model differences
Hi ya'll
I am looking for a gently used Bluebird to buy and travel the US in. I found a 1997 BMC that looks good but I cant find anything on the net that will tell me the differences between a Wanderlodge and a BMC or a LXi or other models that I have not come across yet. Can someone point me in the right direction? I need information. Thanks |

Model differences
Welcome Jim,
You can find a bunch of info on model differences at http://www.vintagebirds.com in the history section. In the meantime, you might want to browse old postings on this subject and look in the Database for Classifieds Ads where there are several members used Birds for sale. Basically, the BMC was meant as an "entry level" BlueBird model that was built from 1994-1997. As such, it was built on a Spartan chassis, rather than a Bluebird chassis. The BMC came with a Cummins engine. Wanderlodges are a whole *series* of models that were built on a BlueBird manufactured chassis. The LXi is the top-of-the-line model Wanderlodge model that was built from 1998-2003. Go to vintagebirds.com for the full history.
