If anyone is interested there is an 82 FC35 on ebay closing tommorow
current bid 11K. If I had my money from the VA I would bid on it. The
other one went for 20.

Hugh this coach is a good example of what may at first look like a
good deal but if you look closely and use the vintage birds checklist
on it will have some glaring problems that will quickly eat up your
dollars. The coach is listed as having 90346 miles. Looking at the
engine hour meter it shows 4080 hours, which equates to approximately
163,000 miles.A big big difference. Look very closely at the
condition of the coach you will be buying and dont compare apples to
oranges when comparing coaches. If you are buying a coach strictly on
price you may be very dissatisfied at what you have to spend on it to
be serviceable. If you are mechanically inclined and can do all of
the work that is one thing. But if you are going to hire someone to
do the work you can sink a lot of money into a coach very quickly.

Short word of warning. That vehicle sold a few weeks ago for about
20k. Current listing explains that and accounts for it by saying the
fuel pump failed after the seller purchased it so it was returned and
has since been fixed. I'd want to make sure that story was true and
give the coach a good look before bidding on it.

I read that also and the fact that it is a repo. It seems that there
are several "repos"showing up lately. When ever I do get my money from
the VA I will have PMIs done prior to any sale.

Tom
Thanks for the advise on a purchase this large it will not be a rush
out and buy. I will have the checklist and will have PMIs done.
Hopefully it will be in an area that I can get a veteran bird owner to
check it out with me. All I can do for now is contiue to look.Yes I am
mechanically inclined do I want to do all the work myself no, will
budget require it yes.

Hey Tom,

What formula do you use to estimate mileage from engine hours?

Thanks,
