DAY #1 AT MAXTON PHOTOS

Here are some photos of the gathering at Maxton last night. We
already have nine 'Birds here. We were treated to a welcoming
comittee of two US Army Blackhawk helicopters, from nearby Ft Bragg,
that flew very low over our camp site with their bright searchlights
lighting up the area and then they flew over the adjacent race
course, just a few feet off of the ground, before circling the area
and flying off again, proving that as usual there is always something
interesting happening here at Maxton. This happened so quick that I
didn't have time to go get my camera, plus I was still eating my brat
that was prepared by Guy Smalley and Randy Dupree.

Some sat around the killer intertainment center in Jay Darst 'Bird
and watched the NIT basketball championship game, while others stood
around and shared conversations, while Lyn and Paul lazar prepared
SNOW CONES for those that wanted them, while the evening temperature
dropped into the 50's. Scott Bishop served up some of his fantastic
double choclate, chocolate chip cookies and Buddy collected all of
the crumbs that happened to fall to the ground.
