Hylah Evan & I are heading west monday. Taking blue highways to save fuel & see
things like
a tractor musem for Evans sake, a zoo etc. we will be in Moab UT cycling for 3
weeks then
work our way to Breckenridge for 2 months, My wife & I will still work from the
motosat. we
will stay as long as the work continues then it is up tp Saratoga NY for a bike
ride then to the
well known Maxton 2 rally. If I run out of fuel donations are tax deductable,
think of it as
supporting the Arts : )

Sorry to miss you. We are departing Moab this morning headed over to
Capitol Reef for 5 days and then back to Dallas and the start of a
construction project at the house.

Moab is a terrific place, with all kinds of scenery and things to do.
Have fun. Maybe we will cross paths at RIV this year.

I'm heading to Moab today (Sunday) from Durango, planning on staying at
the Moab Valley RV Resort if they have room. Your opinion on best
campground would be appreciated.

We stay at the Portal RV Park on the north end of town. It is not in
terrific shape at the moment because it is now under new ownership,
but they plan to completely re-do the campground.

Ron:

Are you staying at the Wonderland RV Park in Torrey? The restaurant up
on the hill is quite nice - must try the German Chocolate cake. When I
drive the Elderhostel National Park Tours, we often stop at the
Wonderland for dinner. Are you going directly back to Dallas or will you
be visiting Bryce Canyon/Zion N.P? Climbing and descending Boulder
Mountain is a treat (gets up to 9400'Wink. Scenery is unbelievable. Enjoy
Capitol Reef and take many photos - enjoy your time in Utah.

We are staying at Thousand Lakes RV Park on the west side of town.
Haven't eaten out yet at all. Not sure when that will happen. We are
driving up to Cathedral Valley today. I have already taken around 100
photos and will probably accumulate 300 to 400 before I leave on Friday.

We will drive the mountain by car on Wednesday. Won't be stopping at
Bryce or Zion this trip. Would love to, but need to get back to
Dallas for construction job start. We will be driving out from here
via hiway 89 south to Flagstaff and then back through Albuquerque to
see a friend and on to home.

We have been photographing Monument Valley, Valley of the Gods,
Natural Bridges, Arches, Canyonlands, Colorado River and now Capitol Reef.

Thanks for your information and suggestions.
