BB Sales and TRYING TO BE POSITIVE

BB Sales and TRYING TO BE POSITIVE
Ok guys, I have ranted enough about the fatal mistake BB is embarking
on. UH did I hear trade ins?? Where will that capital come from?
OOOOPPPSS..

The following concept is what I believe to be valid and worth more
exploration. BUT when approaching JEFFREY, as I did, I was scoffed at.

Given todays market, some parameters: I believe that the boomers are
the target to approach and aim at, at least they should be on the
radar screen. The boomers will be buying a couple of coaches, not
their LAST ONE. Boomers like the RETRO look. Can afford a 500K coach.
Probably won't full time, but use it frequently for disney world, the
beach etc. PROBABLY WILL FULL TIME LATER IN LIFE (BINGO REPEAT SALES)

Now..Take a shell coach that is already being made on the schoolie
side, go back to add the retro look. Make the thing 30-35ft long.
Maybe two sizes. Put a base price on it 150-225k maybe, what ever it
may be. Make sure all of the wiring harnesses are in place for DEALER
ADDED OPTIONS!!

NOW all of the options...If you want an ice machine, no problem,
instant hot..sure. Satelite dishes..sure, front couches, accent
lighting no problem..ALL TO BE INSTALLED AT THE DEALER LEVEL!! Giving
the dealer the opportunity to upsell and make additional money..aka
profit.

The Mfg keeps their cost down, no major retooling, shell is already
being made on the schoolie side, the service network is already in
place as others have stated...and the dealers can offer all the
goodies folks want and make more money!

Give the market the retro look with todays technology and BINGO (can
one say Chris Craft boats??).. NOW the MFG LEADS THE MARKET, dealers
are happy because they have a totally new concept to sell.. the rest
of the MFG's are chasing you...Give me a "baby bird" option and we
will purchase it this week!

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over
expecting a different result. Wake up Management your strategies
aren't working!!

For those at the MFG that are WATCHING I know you are..my email is
cme4boatataoldotcom would be glad to debat the above..Now lets see..

Fuel mileage is typically not a big concern for people buying a
high end coach, but this may be changing, if only by peer pressure.
Baby boomers want the bragging rights to good mileage, even though
they only drive 5k to 10k per year.

BB could lead the way in high mileage motorcoaches. Allison has
a hybrid transmission available which can be coupled with a bank
if NiCd batteries (replacing the deep discharge coach batteries).
This setup can be proven in the school bus line, which may help
school bus sales - school districts are certainly feeling the fuel pinch.
Alternative ideas like auxiliary steam engines powered from exhaust
heat, or even massive counter rotating flywheels, to power the coach up
the next hill will certainly differentiate the product.

BB can also look at the exterior aerodynamics. What about flush
mounting everything: windows, lights, satellite dishes, awnings, etc,
even the rear wheel openings can be skirted to bring down the
Cd. All of these exterior design changes will certainly create an eye
catching bus as she travels down the road. Like it or not, the new
Newell is easily recognized.

As indicated, I will liaison with the factory. They do not have the
time to deal with hundreds of emails from individuals. Since you have
some positive input here, I will forward your suggestions to the plant
as I did with Tom, so I am going to delete your email address and the
debate offer. Please direct additional suggestions or criticism to me.

Thanks

BB Sales and TRYING TO BE POSITIVE
Ron, as I have stated to you personally and publicly, I respect your
opinions and I value our friendship. BUT WAIT A MINUTE, are you
saying Fred is concerned about our opinions?? Gimme a break here.

MODERATORS I know all of you ..please don't muzzle me for having
another opinion! I am willing to take the opposition lead here ..been
doing it a long time in other projects..Got me this far.

A simple post from him would answer alot of questions and
criticisms.. except he is giving lip service to you. Just like he
did at RIV/RATS he had the opportunity to respond to many
there...unless he really is not sure what to say to this crowd to
appease the onslaught. OR he does not really care what we have to
say..

He must be to busy, a simple post here covers hundreds of Bluebird
owners. THAT seem pretty efficient to me.. he must have better things
to do?

DOES HE REALLY NEED A LIASON?? OR A PORT IN A STORM? Does he really
need someone to speak for him..well that may be Steve Cooper! Sorry
Fred..but its true.

Sorry but it goes with the territory and job description he signed on
for!

I guess as the marketing director his obligation as such is to
publicly answer some very valid questions. UNLESS HE CANT DO IT
WITHOUT APPROVAL...or simply doesnt care.

LET ME REMIND EVERYONE ...the decision makers are KROLL ZOLFO
COOPER..NOTHING GETS DONE WITHOUT THEIR APPROVAL..they are turn
around specialists..not motor coach guys...GO GOOGLE KROLL ZOLFO
COOPER ENRON..see for yourself...

FRED TELL ME I AM WRONG!!! I KNOW YOU ARE READING THIS

Sorry Ron, some of us are smarter than allowing the wool to pulled
and/or listening to corporate damage control..I for one.

AGAIN, the people that made BB what it once was are GONE what a
travisty (in and of itself)...can't change that...Folks just don't be
fooled by management fodder.

We all wish the BlueBird folks that built our coaches the best, they
sure deserve better.

BB Sales and TRYING TO BE POSITIVE
Scott, Well put. I remember my military day's and we had lot's of
liason officer's from various countries. These "go between's" were
usually very poorly informed as to the actual circumstances of the
situation. Almost always it came to the point that if you wanted and
needed to know the exact information you would have to bypass the
liason and go to the next level. It's just the way it is, no bad
reflection on the liason officer's, they're just told what their
suppose to say. With regard's to Wanderlodge, they'll do what they want
and not ask our opinion or input in the final say. It's just the way it
is. Bob 93pt40-illinois ..Do you think the Rats rally and all that
going's on affected the RIV in any way, or will actually have an impact
on any future rally's? I don't think so.

Bob, well put. Very important to understand other folks are
passionate as well. For that we must respect there opinion. BUT
remember the definition of "insanity" doing the same thing over and
over expecting a different response. Hello corporate management!!

Question, Does anyone think Steve Cooper wants to respond. After all
HE RUNS THE SHIP EH FRED! I think not. LETS HERE FROM THE CAPTAIN
FROM THE SHIP. As a coast guard licensed captain; The captain has
full responsiblity for the ship. Hmm now there is a thought...

BB Sales and TRYING TO BE POSITIVE
Hi Ron,

I appreciate your offer to act as liaison with the
factory. However, I would like to know what happened
to the existing "representative owners group" (about
6) owners that were appointed/elected two or more
years ago to meet with management "on a regular
basis," and who have met and reported their results
via Bluebird chapter meetings as recently as the last
RIV. Is BB management still in contact with them?

Perhaps the subject can be brought up at the
upcoming "All Birds Reunion" in Branson next week. Of
course, anyone has the right to contact management at
any time.
