Not all postings are problems
Most our postings relate to problems we have with our Birds from
time-to-time. I would like to tell you a happy story. I had a rear
drive-wheel, curb-side wheel seal leak to be repaired. I took the bus
into Betts Truck Parts here in Sacramento.

I had purchased new air bags from them last year, became aware that
they serviced Bluebird school bus chassis. In addition to having the
seal repaired, I requested they inspect the entire chassis and replace
anything needed. They checked the air system and suspension, shocks,
brakes, oils in the axles/rear end, wheel bearings, and alignment.
They called me and said they couldn't find any other problems aside
from the oil leak, which they repaired and replaced the brake shoes as
they were soaked in oil. (I had replaced the rear brakes less than a
year ago). The repair and parts came to $350, and the inspection was
$100. I can tell you I was a happy camper to hear such a pleasant
report. So not all our stories are filled with grief. Next, I'm
looking for a thorough inspection on the engine. Hopefully, I'll be
back with another happy story later.
