Pound rating of gas springs?
I need some replacement gas springs for a storage compartment door and
I need to know what their pound rating is. I called Brambillas, which
was recommended by someone here, but they say they can't match the
part number and need the length and pound ratings. Their 17" long but
I have no idea on how many pounds they push.

Kerry,
You are welcome! That is what this site is for...keeping these Vintage
Birds in top shape. Our previous Bird, 1974 FC31, needed the upper
cabinet doors upgraded to the gas springs. I got all the hardware and
springs from them.

Order the ORR & ORR catalog. It's full of items that will work on our
birds, toads, and more.
